Brambles Tea Room & Cafe

Welcome to Brambles

Brambles Tea Room is centrally positioned on the Main Road in Windermere and has seen a hike in its popularity since being featured in the ITV docu-drama The Lakes which aired in 2010. The programme followed chef-owner Amanda Davies as she got the keys to the new business and made it happen.

Now firmly on the foodie map of Windermere, the café and tea rooms is busy all day with tourists and locals who enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and homemade food. The double-fronted café has outside seating for around a dozen people and inside, an open kitchen, wooden floors and furniture.

A large red leather sofa in the window and photos on the walls taken by Amanda's partner add a homely feel. Breakfasts are available until 3pm and because everything is made in-house, gluten- and dairy-free dishes and cakes are available. Lunch sees sandwiches, jackets, soups, toasties and more. The homemade cakes here are described as 'the kind you would love to make at home but don't have the time'. They operate a loyalty card and hold regular events including sewing nights.

We are a child friendly tea rooms with a toy shelf and highchairs. Also we allow dogs in if they arrive with well behaved owners. Walkers with muddy boots are also more than welcome.

We are Open from 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, closed Sunday.
